A vision taking shape

Where the project stands today.

With initial philanthropic support and federal funding helping advance the project, the Wood County Health Care Foundation is taking important steps toward making the vision a reality. The Foundation is beginning the process of engaging an architect to translate the Center's vision into a thoughtfully designed campus that brings together residential memory care, caregiver support, healthcare education, and community partnerships.

The Center is not yet open, and construction has not begun. An opening date has not been set.

Founding & leadership supporters

Considering a significant gift?

The Wood County Health Care Foundation welcomes conversations with individuals, families, businesses, and institutions interested in making a lasting investment in memory health in East Texas. For substantial contributions, multi-year commitments, or gifts made through a bank transfer, Foundation representatives can provide additional project information and assist with secure giving arrangements.

This is an opportunity to be part of something from the beginning.

What a conversation can include

  • A briefing on the Center's vision, its significance for the region, and the architectural and program planning now beginning.
  • A direct conversation with Foundation leadership about your interests and questions.
  • Project materials, including the Foundation's case for support as it becomes available.
  • Multi-year commitments, documented in a written pledge agreement with a payment schedule that fits your plans.
  • Gifts by check, bank wire, or ACH transfer, and, according to Foundation policy, gifts of stock, donor-advised fund grants, IRA charitable distributions, and bequests.

Donor recognition opportunities for the Center have not yet been established. Any future opportunities would be approved by the Foundation's Board of Directors.
